| Slovenia's Forest Protection
Slovenia ranks as the third most forested country in Europe. With this extremely important socio-economic resource, the Slovenian authorites decided to implement an early warning 'fire-watch' system. Today an area covering 1,000 sq. km in the Karst region is protected through the Aprisa XE links, transporting through the Aprisa XE links, transporting 65 Mbit/s of high quality video whilst extending over distances up to 40 km.
